Don't Be A Slave To Internet Marketing Techniques - Be Creative

If you are still living with the belief that you can easily achieve internet wealth by just simply following the so called "winning formula", well you better move on … get real! You have to do more than that.

There are thousands of “get-rich-quick” scheme available on the net. Each of them presents different internet marketing techniques.  Most of them claim to be the most effective. Believe me…I’ve tried several of these internet marketing techniques.

I used to believe that the key to a successful online business is through building a great web site and driving traffic with promotion campaigns such as adwords and banner placements. At least this was what I learned from one of the online resources that I have browsed hoping to get the most useful internet marketing technique I can implement. Actually, it did work in the beginning. My attractive website and promotions did increased traffic on my site. The only problem is that the traffic wasn’t converted into sale.

Testing Different Internet Marketing Techniques

So I tried a different internet marketing technique because the only result I got from a huge traffic to my web site was having to pay for the increased bandwidth to my web host.  I made changes on my site, giving a clear picture of who I want to market my products and services to and providing an exact definition of what I am selling.

The best place to start with an effective online business is with a well-defined service. The content of your site is much more important than the design. Great web designs are meant for award winning but not incoming generating. This is the first internet marketing technique that I accidentally discovered with my own creativity.

Be Innovative, Try New Things

Now creativity demands hard work. Don’t settle on just trying to apply all those internet marketing techniques. Be innovative. Try new things. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Get out of the box.

On the other hand, evaluation can also be very beneficial if you want to improve your online business using collaborative internet marketing techniques and a little creativity.

Ask your colleagues and current clients to critique your site. Don’t hesitate to revise your site based on their feedback. Then, personally invite prospective clients to visit your site and your current clients to revisit the revised site.

Importance of Quality vs Quantity

Also, one very helpful internet marketing technique is to build a substantial mailing list. But to make it a valuable marketing asset, ensure the quality of names on your list because it’s more important than the quantity.  In my case, I started asking my site visitors and people I meet to join my mailing list. I even offer them something of value in return, such as helpful reports and informative audio materials.

Lastly, let me tell you a little secret. I don’t offer too much bonuses. This is my creative way of getting my clients’ trust. This is one of the internet marketing techniques I developed by myself.  I just thought that I cannot inspire trust by offering "not one, not two, but three or more valuable bonuses" that as if I was selling a fitness gadget on a TV shop.

  • A GOOD ONLINE business does not start with a great web site. It starts is with a well-defined service.
  • TRAFFIC OVERLOAD cannot be immediately equated to increased profits.
  • IN BUILDING A MAILING LIST, the quality of names on the list is more important than the quantity.
  • VALUABLE OFFERS should be limited. Bulging offers hardly inspires trust. 
  • AND THERE IS NO “WINNING FORMULA” only an effective one, unique from each other’s online business.
