Do You Need A Niche Marketing Strategy That Works Online?
Most people don't even bother thinking about a niche marketing strategy. And I am here to tell you that if you are one of them, this could be the biggest mistake you make if you want to make money online.
Let me put it this way- the old methods of simply creating content with simple keywords in them to get ranked high in the search engines and in turn to get tons of traffic to your site, is no longer a valid niche marketing strategy and it hasn't been for some time.
You need to start thinking about long tail keyword marketing, which means to research keyword phrases that get a lot of searches on the popular search engines, but don't have a lot of competition as far as sites offering relevant information is concerned.
Being able to determine which phrases will drive traffic to your site is the most effective niche marketing strategy you will come across. It is also the most effective way to get organic search engine rankings which is highly favored by engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Now, lots of marketers will tell you that in order to get the right keyword information you have to fully rely on services like Wordtracker and Google Adwords. While this has some truth to it, I have come to realize that nothing beats using your own brain to gets the best results.
I am not saying you don't need to use a keyword tool, but I am saying you should come up with your own long tail keywords (a string of three or more keywords used together) on your own before using these tools. How do you do that? I think it's pretty simple:
Make a list of keywords you think are the most relevant to your niche marketing strategy. What you want to do is look around on the Internet and even in stores that sell the products you want to sell.
Find out what buzz words they are using to describe their products and use the search engines to test your keywords out and see what kind of sites come up when you do a search. Once you think you have a strong list of long tail keywords, then it's time to dig a little deeper in order to find out if your niche marketing strategy is a profitable one.

Type your keywords in to the search engines with quotations around them and see what comes up. If the results you end up with are under 10,000 and you happen to see paid ads for the keywords, chances are you can make some money using the keywords in your marketing content and on your website.
On the other hand, you know your proposed niche marketing strategy probably won't make you any money if the search results turn up tons of results and there are no paid ads on the page. In a nutshell, this is the method that can make you quite a bit of money in the long run.
It is a process and it can be a long one, so my advice is to stick with it and don't give up. You WILL see results.
